Hiatus Psychology offers a range of individual and group-based psychological services to support the mental health and wellbeing of the local community and more broadly via telehealth support options. Read more information here.

Cost & Funding Options
Our session rate is a flat fee of $190 for a 50 minute consultation.
There are a number of rebate and funding options available for psychological treatment and support. If you are experiencing significant financial hardship, please contact us to discuss your needs.

Medicare
DVA
NDIS - self/plan managed
self-funded
Medicare
Medicare rebates are available with a mental health care plan and referral from your GP (Better Access). You will need to make an appointment with your GP and request the referral be made to Hiatus Psychology.
You can claim an initial 6 sessions (plus additional 4 as needed- total 10 sessions per calendar year). Rebates are $93.35 per session.
In addition to 10 individual sessions, you can also claim 10 group sessions per year. Rebates are $32.45 per group session.
As a credentialed eating disorder mental health clinician, we can also support eating disorder treatment through an eating disorder management plan from your GP. This let's you claim up to 40 sessions per year (reviewed every 10 sessions).
DVA
Please contact us if you are eligible for DVA services and this can be processed on your behalf.
Self-funded
Clients opting to self-fund their therapy can self-refer and usual session costs apply. If you plan on using private health insurance or other rebate options, please contact your provider to discuss eligibility and the process for any rebate.
The number of recommended sessions will be discussed with you in your initial sessions. Contact us today if you have any questions.
NDIS
You can use your NDIS package at Hiatus Psychology, if your package is self-managed or plan managed. We are currently not a NDIS registered provider but can offer psychological service at our usual rate.
